Ohio Belgian Breeders Association - The Ohio Belgian Breeders Association’s purpose is to promote improvements in the breeding, showing and marketing of the Belgian Horse in the great state of Ohio. The association along with the Ohio Percheron Association sponsor the Eastern States Draft Horse Sale and are responsible for the guidelines for the Belgian show at the Ohio State Fair.
Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association - The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association is a non-profit organization serving Standardbred horse owners, breeders, trainers, and drivers who participate in the sport of harness racing in the Buckeye State. Ohio Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association - The Ohio Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA) is comprised of nearly 5,000 owners and trainers who race Thoroughbreds in Ohio. It is an affiliate of the National HBPA headquartered in Lexington, KY. The Ohio HBPA is a multi-jurisdictional, benevolent and trade association. It provides financial assistance to members in need, educational and informational programs, health fairs, social events, services to members, representation before the Ohio General Assembly and the Ohio State Racing Commission and negotiates contracts and resolves disputes with tracks.
Ohio Horsemen’s Council - The Ohio Horseman’s Council is a non-profit corporation organized in the state of Ohio to provide a vehicle for equine owners and supporters to share ideas and suggestions for all horse related issues, through education, organized trail rides, and other social and service functions. We provide resources to promote the building and maintenance of bridle trails throughout the state of Ohio and provide financial resources and volunteer services to fellow organizations that support equine related activities.
Ohio Percheron Breeders Association - The Ohio Percheron Breeders Association (OPBA) was established in 1912, with the goal of promoting interest in breeding, showing and marketing Percheron horses and the education of our youth and adult members alike. After all Ohio is the heart of the Percheron breed! Ohio is proud to be the state with the most Percheron registrations, the most members in the Percheron Horse Association of America, and the largest state breeders club.
Ohio Quarter Horse Association - Our mission is to promote the registered American Quarter Horse within the state of Ohio. The association works to meet this mission by encouraging the breeding and competition of Quarter Horses through many programs including an extensive year-end awards program, an Incentive Fund program for Ohio-bred Quarter Horses, generous support of youth teams to the American Quarter Horse Youth World Championship Show and the All American Quarter Horse Congress, youth scholarships, a state queen contest and members-only discounts on goods and services. In addition, we provide ongoing support to affiliate and alliance equine groups around the state.
Ohio Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners - The purpose of the OTBO is to conduct an association not for profit for: The promotion of the thoroughbred horse industry in the State of Ohio; For the improvement of the breed in the State; For the improvement of the quality of thoroughbred racing in the State; And for such other purposes incident thereto as shall be reasonable and proper.
